I'm currently not taking my prescription calcium pill because one of the warning side-effects is your femur fracturing. (WHAT??!!) My doctor didn't talk to me about that little detail (either). (sigh) Sometimes, the medical world, for all their wonderful gifts (truly wonderful--don't get me wrong), can seem like a mediocre electrician in too big a hurry. ;-)

So true! What additional risks are we tacitly agreeing to ostensibly to get somewhere faster?

Jenna there is always something exactly right that I need to hear in your dispatches. Today, among other things, it was your report of paxlovid rebound. I was diagnosed with Covid the same day as you apparently but decided not to do the paxlovid treatment for fear of rebound which I had heard before. And although I am still not quite myself after what appeared to be a mild case of Covid, I am trying to trust my body to recover in its own time. So there has been one good day when I felt myself as myself again and many not quite me days. But how much I have accomplished on those slower days nevertheless…while I hope for my “return”.

Randi, I'm so sorry to hear you also got Covid. I have wondered what would have happened had I not taken the Paxlovid... I suppose it's human nature to question such things! Meanwhile, I'm finding it wild that I had not been counseled about the rebound possibility. Sending refuah shelama to you.
