“I feel like something in me has resurrected from being dormant for a long time. The simple act of writing and reading others’ words has helped me say to myself: Yes, I can do this.”
The new school year is upon us. My social media feeds are bursting with photos, from kiddos on their first day of kindergarten (oh, my heart) to young adults moving into college dorms (oh, my heart). Parents are feeling all the feelings (raises hand!). Teacher friends have lovingly prepared their classrooms. And this year, I'm even taking a class for the first time in a very long time. Hello, homework!
Do you ever long for that sense of a fresh start, the rhythm of meeting with the same people week after week, and the structure and accountability this brings into your days? Are you someone…
🌀 who often thinks you'd like to write more regularly and consistently?
🌀 whose best intentions to get words on the page fall to the bottom of your to-do list again and again?
🌀 who longs for connection with kindred spirits who will cheer you on?
EBB & FLOW: A whole school year of writing practice!
This small group – limited to just 8 people – meets September-June, with a 3-week-on, 1-week off rhythm that will nurture and ignite your creative spirit.
All are welcome. The emphasis will be on process, not product, though several folks in last year's cohort shared work that originated in class on Substack, Medium, and elsewhere.
If you are interested but have questions the website doesn't answer, don't hesitate to drop me a private message or email (jenarschwartz@gmail.com). There are only 1-2 spots left.
