1. I always thought it was "bits and bots." Then I looked it up and realized I'd been saying it wrong all this time. Obviously I never learned to sew.
2. We are selling a twin bed frame and mattress, a simple desk, a beautiful TV stand, a small area rug, and a 40" TV. Local folks – anyone, anyone? Message me for pictures/details!
3. There are a handful of spaces left in the Solstice edition of The Sound of Real Life Happening – a small group of us will practice writing 11s together June 11-21. Join me!
4. Life is throwing some extra (not) fun our way right now and I'm trying to hold onto my hat. Reminder to self: Staying calm helps you function and be responsive. Breathe in, breathe out.
5. I have an invitation for all of you: Please join the writers of Ebb and Flow on June 10 as we celebrate the conclusion of our inaugural school year of writing practice! Listen to pieces from our weekly sessions, and bask in the warm and welcoming community we have fostered. All are welcome. We kindly ask that you pre-register.
6. I can't believe this 10-month group is coming to a close. And I'm already excited for next year's cohort. (Registration is open for that, too!)
7. One of the things I'll miss about living in the Valley are the swimming holes, truly my happy places in the summer. I plan to explore some new spots, not to mention I'll be up and back regularly. Have towel, will travel.
8. As a friend kindly said earlier this spring, "There will be new things." Amherst will remain a big part of my life for many reasons, and we are also excited to expand our radius and explore in new directions. I wonder what we will discover.
9. I am stuck here. The thing with 11s is when you are stuck you can just skip to the next one.
10. Cloudburst. Climate change. Covid. Concussion. Cake. Calamity. Caravan. Consciousness. Confluence. Cosmos. Chameleon. Cling. Clap. Clash. Crush. Count your blessings.
11. That sultry after-rain smell. Ready or not, here we go. Welcome to Tuesday.
